Typical School Homework Week (WE ARE TRYING TO KEEP DISTANCE LEARNING SOMEWHAT LIKE A TYPICAL SCHOOL DAY) Monday: Letter of the Week Sharing, Math page Tuesday: Math page, Key Word Practice, ELA Review page Wednesday: Math page, ELA Review page Thursday: Math page, Review Sight Words, Spelling Sentence/Pic, ELA Review page Friday: NO HOMEWORK
Friday is usually a testing day. It would be helpful to us and beneficial to your child if you could please avoid being absent on a Friday (especially in the morning). Thanks!
I encourage you to practice the following on a daily basis: letter recognition, reading, and counting! Make it fun! This can be something you do while traveling in the car or standing in a check-out line!
Your child has a green homework folder that will be sent home daily. The left side (return to school) contains the current night's homework and any notes that need to be returned. The right side (keep at home) contains papers and notes for parents to review and keep at home.
Green folders are also used as a communication tool.
Kindergarten Key Words Practice ideas: say the word, spell the word aloud, sort words by the beginning sounds, sort by rhyming words, create sentences using the words, or look for the words in the newspaper or magazines
